Toronto, Canada, or as I call it the city of ‘All Soles’, has the same amount of culture as there is selection of sneakers.  The city resembles New York City in more ways than one, but when it comes to sneakers we seem to get the short end of the stick. Over the last little while, I have been getting the itch to travel to NYC to check out the NIKEiD Studio located on 21 Mercer St.  It’s a one of a kind store, where Nike products can be designed on location, by appointment only. The feature that has me wanting to make the drive is the customization experience called Bespoke. Bespoke gives you the opportunity for 1-on-1 consultation from dedicated Nike designers and offers an unprecedented opportunity to craft personalized, premium footwear-one product at a time. Then I got to thinking, why doesn’t Toronto have a spot like this? Would the store stay busy? Where would you put the store?  I know if Toronto was given the chance to get it’s Tinker Hatfield on, we would not only keep the store busy, but there would bespoke some crazy creative sneakers coming out of the store.  In the meantime, until the Nike Gods decide to bless us with our own NIKEiD Studio, we will have to do the 10 hour drive to 21 Mercer street, NYC.

Check out pictures below on the 21 Mercer Street Store and start thinking about what your Bespoke would look like.  Let me know if you think Toronto could house a spot like this and where.
