We first met Rosie Pea last summer at the 2011 Youth Day Festival that was held at Dundas Square. Throughout the day there were a number of artists showcasing their work, however Rosie’s pieces stood out as they were simple in comparison while still communicating the purpose of each creation. After a great initial meet up, Rosie and TLK had the chance to sit down and talk about everything from sneakers to her goals as an artist and from there the relationship was born. She showcased a few of her new pieces at the ‘United We Sole’ Sneaker Expo back in October, all of which received fantastic reviews from the community. Rosie, which we later found out is only her illustration name with her real name being Marisha Pula, created a Toronto Loves Kicks piece as a token of appreciation. We absolutely love the creation and value the transformation of the vision she had of Toronto Loves Kicks
