Chicago X Gas Mask

Those who follow our site are aware of TLK’s fondness for art in all forms, particularly, sneaker art. So once I came across Freehand Profit’s latest work, which is a custom gas mask constructed from the ever so popular Air Jordan X “Chicago”, I just had to write about it to tell the masses.

As you go through the pictures below you’ll quickly notice just how complicated of a job this gas mask must have been to create. and as Freehand Profit describes, “this was a huge sacrifice to make and complete”. He used two pairs of the Chicago X sneakers to create this for the Corcoran Gallery of Art show which is going on right now in DC. You can see the Jordan logo from the heel on the front of the mask with his accolades, with the logo also on the forehead as well with the uppers used as armor-like plates that extend beyond the temple.

Freehand Profit states that these will officially go on sale once the exhibition is over so if you have any interest in grabbing this unique collectible piece, check out the detailed photo’s below and wait ’til the exhibit comes to an end this May 20th!

I can’t help but think how much hours and dedication this must have taken to complete.  However, I am glad he blessed us with such amazing work. I also hope that in the near future TLK will have the opportunity to talk that talk with Freehand Profit so we can see just how his mind really ticks for this culture.
